Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Rebates

Level 2 (Residential/Commercial/Public) Chargers

Incentive
  • 50% of total equipment and electric service installation costs up to $250 for non-managed chargers.
    • 50% of equipment cost up to $125
    • 50% of electric service installation cost up to $125. 
  • 50% of total equipment and electric service installation costs up to $1,000 for managed chargers.
    • 50% of equipment cost up to $500.
    • 50% of electric service installation cost up to $500. 
Qualifying Installations
  • Residential (limit two chargers per member account).
  • Commercial (private fleet).
  • Public (no fees for energy).
Product & Application Requirements
  • All equipment and installation costs are required to be on one application to be eligible for the full rebate amount.
  • EVSE manufacturer and model number identification.
  • Itemized receipt, including a breakdown of equipment and labor.
  • Attach photo(s) of installation including charger and electrical service.
Product Guidelines
  • It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all local and national building and electrical codes are met.
  • Managed programs include member system-led demand response control or time of use rate.

Level 2 (With Network and Fee for Charge Capability) Chargers

Incentive
  • 50% of EV charging equipment and electric service installation costs up to $1,000.
Qualifying Installations
  • Must be accessible to the general public; private installations do not qualify.
Product & Application Requirements
  • All equipment and installation costs are required to be on one application to be eligible for full rebate amount.
  • EVSE manufacturer and model number identification.
  • Itemized receipt, including breakdown of equipment and labor.
  • EV charging equipment is required to be network-capable.
  • One rebate per installed charger; multiple charge connectors/ports associated with a single charger do not qualify for multiple rebates.
  • Attach photo(s) of installation including charger and electrical service.

Direct Current Fast Chargers (DCFC)

Incentive
  • 50% of EV charging equipment and electric service installation costs up to $3,000 for 50 – 75 kW maximum station output.
  • 50% of EV charging equipment and electric service installation costs up to $5,000 for 76 – 149 kW maximum station output.
  • 50% of EV charging equipment and electric service installation costs up to $7,500 for 150 & above kW peak output.
Product & Application Requirements
  • All equipment and installation costs are required to be on one application to be eligible for full rebate amount.
  • Publicly accessible installations only.
  • Proprietary technology (IE – Tesla) requires pre-approval from program staff and will be limited to 50% of rebate value.
  • EVSE manufacturer and model number identification.
  • Itemized receipt, including breakdown of equipment and labor.
  • One rebate per installed charger; multiple charge connectors/ports associated with a single charger do not qualify for multiple rebates.
  • Attach photo(s) of installation including charger and electrical service.

Rebates Program Requirements and Information

  • Must be an MVEA member.
  • Rebate requests take 4-8 weeks to process and will reflect on your MVEA bill as a credit.
  • Rebates are for new product purchases only.
  • Applications must be submitted within 90 days of purchase date.
  • You must provide an itemized sales receipt showing the model number, proof of payment, and the breakout of equipment and labor if applicable.
  • A photo of installation including charger and electrical service is required.
  • Effective through December 31, 2024. Rebate program and products are subject to change at any time without notice

  • Include required photos and photos or copies of itemized receipts, including the breakout of equipment and labor.
