Operations Manager

We have a job opening for an Operations Manager. This position will work out of our Falcon office, located on the Northeast side of Colorado Springs. This position is responsible for planning, directing and controlling activities in the Operations Department. Duties include overseeing the construction and maintenance of the Association’s electric transmission and distribution system, developing departmental goals and objectives, reviewing decisions made by subordinate supervisors, preparing budgets and purchasing.

Applicants must have knowledge of Rural Utilities Service (RUS) specifications and regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection agency (EPA), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), National Electrical Code (NEC), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and State and Local Codes as these relate to electric distribution construction and operations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or eight years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires four years previous supervisory and management experience in line construction and maintenance or equivalent environment. Preferred previous Journey Lineman experience.
