Subdivision Development

Please explore the information provided in the MVEA Subdivision Guidelines (PDF) to expedite the process to start electric service to your planned development in our service territory.

An engineering/design fee (minimum of $250.00 + $50.00 per lot) plus an electronic copy of the plat and a hard copy of the construction drawings will be required to start the process. Contact Engineering to set up your initial appointment.

At that appointment, a discussion of the entire project will take place including all the information as outlined on the Meeting Checklist (PDF).

The Site Requirements & Pre-Construction Guide (PDF) will outline a number of items to be addressed: such as the sequencing of utilities, grade, tree trimming/clearing, and the required staking of lot corners to name a few.

The installation of the electric system will be installed in accordance with the terms of the current MVEA Line Extension Policy (PDF).
