You are hereby notified that the above-named Association proposes to make the following changes in its tariffs, to become effective March 1, 2019:

A new rate, Rate 16.02 Residential Rate AMI Opt Out, was approved by the MVEA Board of Directors on December 18, 2018 to become effective on March 1, 2019. It is available to single family residential members who do not wish to participate in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) which is an integrated system of meters, communication networks, and data management systems that enables two-way communications with the Association’s meter equipment. Accounts meeting one or more of the following criteria will not be allowed to Opt Out of the AMI metering: 1) MVEA Credit Risk Score of 9 or greater as determined by Rules and Regulations 9.0 MEMBER DEPOSITS; 2) disconnection for nonpayment charges within the last twenty-four (24) months; 3) prior history of meter tampering; 4) net metering; 5) documentation on file of Landlord agreement for auto reinstatement; 6) inaccessible meter due to physical obstruction, hazardous conditions or denial of access; and 7) average energy consumption exceeds 3,500 kWh per month. The type of service is single-phase 60-hertz with load requirements of 50 kVA or less at available secondary voltages. The grid access per month will be $59.50 per month. The first 1,500 kWh per month, per kWH is $0.10828 and over 1,500 kWh per month, per kWh will be $0.10063. The minimum monthly charge per meter under this rate will be $59.50. The above rates are net, due and payable on or before the date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge of 2% per month or $5.00 per month whichever is greater will apply; service will be discontinued as determined by Rules and Regulations 12.0 Discontinuance of Service. Any tax, franchise fee, or other similar charge, however denominated, will be recovered by a surcharge only upon those members receiving service within the boundaries of the district and/or municipality imposing such tax or fee. Rate 16.02 is available for examination and explanation at these offices of this Association: 11140 E. Woodmen Road, Falcon, Colorado 80831 or 1655 5th Street, Limon, Colorado 80828.

Anyone who desires to comment on the proposed change will file a written response with the Association at 1655 5th Street, P O Box 1600, Limon, Colorado 80828, no later than twenty (20) days from the date of this notice. The Association may hold a hearing, to consider the comments and determine whether the proposed change will be authorized. Anyone who desires to receive notice of hearing, if any, will make written request therefore to the Association, at the above address, no later than twenty (20) days from the date of this notice.
