2022 Annual Meeting of Members: Powering Possibilities Since 1941.

Your perspective is important! As a Mountain View Electric Association member, we invite you to share it with the co-op during our 81st Annual Meeting of Members on Thursday, June 2, at Limon Public Schools. This will be MVEA’s first in-person Annual Meeting of Members since June 2019, and we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to gather again! In addition to electing Directors to District 3 and 5, the co-op will be welcoming a new CEO as Jim Herron is retiring in June after serving as MVEA’s CEO for the last 26 years.

The MVEA Annual Meeting of Members is not only designed to take care of the important business of the co-op, but the equally important business of building a real sense of co-op community. It is an event where neighbors can meet new neighbors—or catch up with old acquaintances. We hope you will join us as we look back on the accomplishments of 2021 and our continued dedication to powering possibilities through decades of innovation and industry changes!


The 2022 Mountain View Electric Association Inc. Annual Meeting of Members will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Limon Public Schools, 912 Badger Way, Limon, Colorado, 80828.* Registration and dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the business portion of the meeting commencing at 6:30 p.m. Download and print an invitation here! The Annual Meeting will be held for the following purposes:

  • To elect two directors for the Association: One from District 3 and one from District 5, all as provided by the Associations By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation;
  • To approve the minutes of the 2021 Annual Meeting of Members;
  • To report on financial transactions during the 2021 calendar year; and
  • To conduct such other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment or adjournments thereof.

Note: As stated in MVEA’s By-laws, Article III. Section 2. “Directors will be elected for a term to expire at the third annual meeting of members after their election and until their successors are elected and qualified.”

Important 2022 Mail-In Ballot Dates

  • Mail-in ballots were mailed to members on Thursday, April 28.
  • Mail your ballot back, in the postage-paid green return envelope, no later than Monday, May 23.
  • Ballots must be received by Survey & Ballot Systems, a reputable election organization and verification service, via mail by noon (CST) on Wednesday, June 1.
    • Members who attend the Annual Meeting on June 2, who have not already voted by mail, will have an opportunity to vote via floor ballot.

Make Sure Your Vote Counts: Follow the voting directions provided on the mail-in ballot to make sure your vote counts.

  • MVEA Director Elections are at-large, allowing for members to vote for directors in any district.
  • Your ballot must have only one candidate selected in each district.
  • Your postage-paid green return envelope must be properly signed.
    • The signature on the green envelope must correspond to the name(s) on the back of the return envelope.
    • The recipient of the voter packet is the individual authorized to complete the ballot and sign the back of the return envelope.
    • For joint membership, either party may sign.
    • If the account is in the name of a corporation or political subdivision, indicate title or capacity in which you are acting for the organization.
