Relocation of MVEA Facilities

Do you need to relocate existing MVEA facilities? Or would you like to convert existing overhead facilities to underground?

Relocations of MVEA Facilities will be provided in accordance with the terms of the current MVEA Line Extension Policy

A few things to keep in mind:

• There may be other utility companies in your area that currently have an overhead Joint Use Agreement with MVEA. You will need to contact these companies individually to coordinate the removal and/or reattachment of their facilities.
• MVEA’s responsibility does not extend beyond the meter socket, so a relocation of your consumer owned facilities may be needed as well.

Please contact the Engineering Consumer Representative to discuss your request. A $200.00 minimum engineering design fee may be required.

If you elect to proceed with relocation of the electric system, the engineering fee will be included as a credit in the overall cost of the project. If the project is cancelled, the engineering fee will be forfeited.
