If your cell phone is already on file with MVEA you can start using this service today!

We recommend you store (800) 388-9881 in your contacts so it will be handy during an outage.

To Add Your Cell Phone

  • Call (800) 388-9881 to add your cell phone number to your account
  • “Opt in” to Mountain View Electric Association’s SmartAlertsTM text messaging
  • Stay connected, report outages, and even get status updates

  • Text “MVEA” to (800) 388-9881 to Sign up for SmartAlertsTM
  • To report an outage text “OUT“, text “STATUS” to receive status updates during an outage
  • For more info text “HELP”, and text “QUIT” to opt-out

You may report an outage through your desktop online or via mobile device through the SmartHub App.

Click on Service Status in your SmartHub App to report an outage. You need to be logged into your account to access this screen.

Restoring power during inclement weather or after a large accident can be a big job. MVEA maintains a 24-hour, 365 day-a-year on-call crews.

If you lose power, be assured we’re working as quickly and safely as possible to get your lights back on.
